Durations ‘Penthouse’ Patio Doors

These superb ‘Penthouse’ large panel patio doors really give great views - offering the maximum possible glass area in a slim and strong aluminium frame. Another nice feature of these doors is that all the panels can slide - there are no fixed panels. Despite their weight the panels slide easily using their high-spec hardware.

With so many traditional and modern finishes your patio doors can blend in with your existing buildings structure or make a modern contemporary statement.

The Duration aluminium patio doors can be made up to 6.95 metres wide and up to 2.7 metres high. As a typical opening will be 2.1 metres high - our doors will comfortably fit both standard and higher-than-standard openings.

The Duration patio doors come with high performance glass to meet Document L standards, double brush pile and strong 5 point locking. A reinforced interlock is available for extreme wind loadings.

Maximum Opening and Flexibility

The sliding panels in our unique ‘Penthouse’ patio doors run on either 2 or 3 tracks. If you choose a 3 panel patio door in a 3 track frame then each panel runs on its own track. Because each panel has its own track all panels can stack at one end. You can see from the diagrams below that with 3 panels the opening is about two-thirds of the total opening, rather than half of the total opening with a two panel door. ‘Penthouse’ patio doors are available in 2, 3, 4 & 6 panels.

2 panel patio door - panels all stacked to the left. 2 panel patio door - panels all stacked to the left.
3 panel patio door to left 3 panel patio door to right
4 panel patio door - 2 to either side
6 panel patio door - 3 to either side
