Maximum Opening and Flexibility
With the Duration Aluminium Patio Door, both (or more) panels will slide to either side, no need for fixed panels. (fixed panels are optional). Normal patio doors have a fixed panel and just one sliding panel. This fixed layout dictates the positioning of your furniture. The advantage of all having a sliding patio door with no fixed panels is that you can open your patio door from either the left or right hand side, giving you flexible, user friendly patio doors perfect for modern living.
Slim-lines, Strength and Sophistication
These slim patio doors bring a graceful elegance to your home and allow maximum light and use of space for your home. The slim profiles feature a unique rounded nose meeting style that gives added strength to the sliding sash enabling the doors to be ultra slim. The thin aluminium sections minimise sight-lines making for the best possible glass area. All aluminium profiles are polyamide thermally broken and will except glass units up to 24mm. Their is no glazing bead as this is a wrap around system, ensuring smooth lines and giving added security.
Not Just 2 and 3 Panels!
We don't just do 2 and 3 panel sliding patio doors - we also do 4, 5 and 6 panel patio doors too ! As you can see in the following pictures, the 6 panel door provides an especially large opening. We also do folding doors which fold back against the wall leaving the largest possible opening. Click here to see our full folding doors.
Our three track option - Maximising your opening!
To maximise your opening area our patio door system has a three track system. With three panels on three tracks you can achieve a two-thirds opening. This improves access into the room and provides you with maximum ventilation. This is illustrated in the diagrams below, which show 3 panels in a three track system. As the panels are slide open on their individual tracks to either the right or the left, two of the doors stack behind the first panel. This gives you your two-thirds total opening; rather than less than half total opening with an ordinary two panel sliding patio door.
Triple Track with Integral Fly screen Panel
With our triple track patio you have the ability to add a fly screen panel on the inner track. The fly screen sliding panel can be pulled across and used to let in the fresh air while preventing insects from entering the house. The fly screen mesh is easily removed for cleaning or when replacing an old mesh. The whole fly screen panel can be lifted out of the track and stored in the winter months when it's not needed.

High Security Locking as Standard
4 point high security locking is standard for doors over 1800mm high (most doors are around 2100mm). The picture below shows a typical lock from our patio doors. You can see in the picture the high security "hook locks" that hook into the frame of the door. Your doors will come with 1, 2 or 3 keys depending on the door design.
